Job Description

As a Specialized Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for performing detailed cleaning tasks that go beyond general maintenance, including services like pressure washing, floor stripping, waxing, and other specialized cleaning needs. Your role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of various facilities by using specialized cleaning methods and equipment. This position requires both technical expertise and an understanding of specific cleaning procedures to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pressure washing on outdoor surfaces like building exteriors, walkways, parking lots, and driveways.
  • Strip and wax floors (tile, vinyl, hardwood) to remove built-up grime and restore a polished look.
  • Implement specialized cleaning techniques for carpets, upholstery, and industrial equipment.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized cleaning equipment like pressure washers and floor buffers.
  • Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals and products, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform surface restoration tasks, including grout cleaning, tile restoration, and applying protective coatings.
  • Estimate cleaning time requirements and manage scheduling to complete tasks within the expected timeframe.
  • Collaborate with team members and report progress or issues to supervisors.
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize risks when using chemicals, machinery, and handling cleaning waste.

Skill & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in specialized cleaning (e.g., pressure washing, floor stripping, waxing).
  • Proficiency in using specialized cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, and scrubbers.
  • Experience working with various cleaning chemicals and applying them safely to different surfaces.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning, particularly in delicate or high-traffic areas.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle demanding tasks and equipment.
  • Excellent time management skills to estimate cleaning tasks accurately and prioritize jobs.
